Dear Victor,
Rosebank Distillery, also known as “The King of the Lowlands”, now proudly reigns again. Production restarted in 2023 after 30 years of closure, but it will be some years hence when we are ready to release “new” Rosebank. In the meantime, we only have a very limited pocket of legacy stock to draw upon and we are delighted to be able to offer you the chance to acquire some of our rare bottlings direct from our website on general release
Available to purchase for the first time online are two single casks from 1993, which were bottled in 2020. Cask numbers 433 and 625 were the first bottlings from Rosebank in almost 30 years, after the distillery closure in 1993. A rare opportunity to own a piece of Rosebank's legendary past.
We've also released a small quantity of stock of our 32 year old, the finale of our first legacy series, last presented when launched in June 2024. These remarkable releases are the Crown Jewels of Rosebank—a testament to unparalleled craftsmanship and an invitation to savour a piece of history from the King of the Lowlands. |

Cask Number 433, with a natural cask strength of 53.3%, is delicate and refined on the nose - with hints of vanilla, mango, raspberry, barley sugar and lavender. Silky and light on the tongue, it gives way to complex flavours of cranachan and lemon, with gentle floral notes, marzipan and faint spice completing the profile. |
|
Cask Number 625, with a natural cask strength of 50.4%, has a warm banana loaf aroma with hints of white chocolate, spearmint, Victoria sponge and dried pineapple. It has notes of shortbread, chamomile tea, dried herb and citrus for a rich-bodied, balanced taste and a wonderfully delicate, tropical fruit, lime and gentle spice. |

Rosebank 32 Year Old - the finale of our first legacy series, last presented in the June 2024 launch. Rich and complex yet elegant and balanced, offering sweet aromas of pineapple and candied ginger hints of malt, thyme, butterscotch, tropical fruits. Notes of lemon, honeyed porridge in the finish. |

Tasting Casks - #433 and #652 |
When we launched Casks #433 and #652 early in 2020 we caught up with our Global Ambassador, Gordon Dundas and Group Distillation Director, Robbie Hughes to discuss the first ever releases of Rosebank since it's closure. You'll hear we had high hopes of reopening Rosebank Distillery in 2021 at the time, this turned out to be a bit ambitious with the Covid pandemic around the corner. |
